Boyd County Detention Center Commissary
Commissary sheets are passed out on Tuesday evening, if the inmate does not receive a commissary sheet and came to the jail with money it is possible that the inmate has previous booking and lodging fees and/or doctor visit charges. This money would be taken for the fees incurred while the inmate was/or resides at the detention center.
Karen Miles is the only administrator that has access to this information, this deputy has all the fines, fees and commissary information.
Deputies and/or supervisors after administration hours have NO access to this information. If your acquaintance is an inmate at Boyd County Detention and phones you about their money being misconstrued they need to send a note to Deputy Karen Miles with the information and she will look it up and provide an adequate answer to respond to the inmate.
When money is provided on an inmates account and they owe previous jail booking, lodging, fines, fees, doctor visits, or any fines incurred from infractions at the detention center, HALF of the money received will be transferred to the jail FROM the inmates account.
