Inmates in isolation are
placed there by a committee of deputies chosen by several supervisors
who were not involved in whatever the incident may be. The inmate is
then interviewed by the committee and will receive isolation time for
their actions designated by the committee.
Isolated inmates get one
15 minute phone call once every week per Dept. of Corrections
standards.
If staff is
available, the inmate may be allowed more time.
If staff is not
available the inmate will receive their call and progress back to
their isolation cell after shower, shave & recreation. If the inmate
receives more infractions or has any discipline problems while in
isolation, they will stay in the isolated area until a pending review
by the initial committees.
This Is normally
done when the isolated inmate is escorted by a deputy to their shower
and recreation on Monday evenings.
Any incidents
requiring staff to be elsewhere during isolation phone time will
result in a roll over to the next evening for the inmates phone call.
Sorry for this inconvenience.
Isolated inmates
have recreation like all others for one hour per day. Showers and
shave time is every evening. |
